Research

Research in the Webb group is highly interdisciplinary. We exploit techniques from both synthetic chemistry and molecular biology to investigate protein function, modification and regulation. Recent highlights have included the development of a new method to cleanly modify proteins with unfunctionalised peptides sortase and multiple new strategies to re-engineer proteins with new functions, focussed on the non-toxic Cholera B-subunit.
